Listen to Episode 2:
The Flight and The Fall is a free, episodic podcast I created that explored themes through found sound, radio plays, audio compositions, and interviews. The first episode dealt with love and loss and the second episode dealt with perspective, you can get the episodes several ways:
1. Search for “The Flight and The Fall” in the iTunes store in iTunes (and leave a comment if you like it)
2. Listen to it or download it (free) here, the sloppy way by left clicking and saving, or…
3. Be super tech-spiffy and subscribe to it. In iTunes, go to Advanced -> subscribe to podcast, and type in: “http://feeds.feedburner.com/TheFlightAndTheFall?format=xml”
The second episode was the last (for now) as I have begun work on my new project, Neighborhood Diaries, in which I am recording the location-based memories of Portlanders, and weaving those memories into interactive audio tours that you can download as a podcast, and listen to as you stroll five of Portland’s neighborhoods, and learn about the hidden emotional landscape that make up our surroundings. You can find more (and submit your own memory) here.

“Your project is heartbreaking. I really liked it. I burst into tears at several points throughout listening to it. It was like I was being forced to relive some of my own experiences, almost word for word, which was difficult. But at the same time, it was comforting and reassuring as a human being, to be reminded that others have gone / are going through tough times so similar to my own. I also liked the music, and you have a really great voice for recordings.”
“I just finished listening. Almost cried twice. On the bus. It was, in a few words: real, disturbing, and demanding to be listened to with an open heart.”
“Your show was awesome! I love the music and the feel with the voice montage. The stories were really lovely… I look forward to more!!!”
“Last night was so great. I really enjoyed your project and can’t wait for more. I might have had the only dry eye in the place. I had no idea what I was in for and I walked away contemplative, maybe a little too… ”
